Newthorpe Grange shown on Sanderson's map of 1835. House and gardesn wow built over, stables/offices still stands. The Grange and 800 acres of land were acquired by Barber Walker and Co on the sale of the Cowper estaes in 1916. In 1935 the Grange, the Cottage, garage and outbuildings were sold for £5100. (1) (3)
