Full Description

Area 2 (2008) The ditch was aligned north-west to south-east and ran for some 90m through the centre of the excavation area. It varied in width from 0.68m to 2.15m and in depth from 0.46m to 0.56m with a broad U-shaped profile. Pottery was recovered from fills which has been dated to the 2nd to 4th centuries AD. Pot boilers were also noted. A single rod tool was recovered from the surface. (1)
