Full Description

Three inhumations disturbed during excavation of pit for septic tank. Graves cut (011) was identified in the SE section of the septic tank pit at a depth of 0.95m from ground surface. In measured 1.75m in length. The skull and fragments of bone from the right arm and hand were partially exposed in the section. Inhumation (008) was identified in the SW facing section of the septic tank pit. Only the skull was visible at a depth of 0.8m from the ground surface. It was not possible to identify a grave cut or fill. Grave cut (006) was identified in the SW facing section of the septic tank pit at a depth of 1.45m from the ground surface. C.0.7m wide. Vertical sides and a U-shaped bottom. Aligned EW. Skull was visible. Unstratified C13 pottery found in the subsoil. (1)
