Full Description

Undated features cut directly into the natural. Plot 1: linear ditch, e-w, 3.7m long, 1.6m wide. Second ditch running parallel, over 0.6m long, 1.6m wide. Third ditch over 0.6m long, 1.9m wide. Plot 4 & 5: Ditch over 7m long, 1m wide. Plot 4: Field drain over 2m long, 0.25m wide. Ditch over 4.5m long and 0.7m wide. Plot 5: Ditch over 13m long and 1.9m wide. Pit, sub-circular, 1.8m deep. Plot 10: Ditch over 0.6m long, 1.2m wide.
All undated features were sealed by a topsoil representing levelling of the site for the farmyard.
Further undated features cut into this topsoil so are later than those above. Plot 9: Ditch greater than 1.7m long, over 2m wide, n-s then turning to run e-w. This ditch was then re-cut.
Above the topsoil was a demolition layer containing brick rubble, mortar and limestone from demolition of buildings and levelling of the site. (1)
