Full Description

Technique for construction suggests wall is not later than Georgian in date. Two phases, with a later footing construction built on top. One part of the wall seems to be a boundary wall, intended to be seen above ground, and is constructed in an earlier Jacobean style (width of a brick-and-a-half). The other part of the wall is keyed into this by two bricks, and it is not clear which part was built first. The keyed in section of wall may be a terminal, added as a later date as an alteration.
Both phases of wall may have been demolished down to a lower level, and the ground around it was filled with levelling material.
