Full Description

Incoming residentsof Hucknall formed a church in 1876. The policy of the United Methodist Free Church was adopted. Increased membership made the building of a chapel a necessity and a plot on Peveril Street was bought. Members dug the foundations and a stone-laying ceremony took place in 1877, and the structure was completed the same year. It was officially opened on Sunday 28th October 1877. (1)
