Full Description

A shallow rectilinear enclosure bank and ditch was found in the southern part of the area. This part of the forest was more overgrown and took repeated walking over to define its location. This was also recorded on the 1st edition OS map and likely represents a larger boundary feature or part of an enclosure. It should be noted that the earthwork was not visible on the ground further south than the photograph was taken, although the LiDAR data has it extended considerably further.
