East View House was built at some point between 1879 (1) and 1899 (2). OS Map published in 1886 shows a group of four buildings which over the course of the C20 are enlarged and infilled to create a larger courtyard plan house and two outbuildings (one L-Plan and one linear range possibly a stable) (3).
East view was detached and built on the hill overlooking the colliery. (4)
