Full Description

Two ditches crossed the western part of an evaluation trench. One of the ditch contained a small group of Iron Age pottery and a single (presumed intrusive) medieval sherd within its reddish brown silty clay fill, with a small quantity (10g) of animal bone also present. To judge by its position and course, it may represent a continuation of an Iron Age boundary exposed 23 m to the south-east in the strip, map and sample area.
