Full Description

Ditch was wider than the other ditch discovered during this evaluation, measuring 1m across and 0.28m deep, and was located 2.4m from the south end of the trench. This was not seen in the other trenches. It contained a single fill consisting of dark black-brown silty-clay with some small stone fragments. Four sherds of mid to late Iron Age pottery, well preserved animal bone, and a fire-cracked pebble were recovered from this deposit. The ditch was truncated by a ceramic field drain on the north-side.

May be outlining a field boundary.
