Full Description

The ditch was at least 6m wide and survived to a depth of 0.80m. It produced a small mixed group of fourteen vessels, the latest of which dates to between the late 13th and early/mid 14th centuries. This small group includes jugs from Beverley, Doncaster, Lincoln and Nottingham. Two fragments of fired clay were recovered from the ditch. One of these pieces has wattle impressions suggesting that it came from a wattle and daub wall.
