Full Description

To the south-west of a group of pits, in the southernmost corner of the site, was a narrow but deep pit, 1.45m in length x 0.40m wide and 0.80m deep, was located. It contained two 13th-century sherds of pottery. The pocked glaze of the Nottingham Light-bodied jug suggests that it belongs to the first quarter of the century, but the large shell-tempered bowl (NLST) cannot be closely date.
