Full Description

A much smaller pit, contained six sherds from a single bunghole vessel of 16th century date. The vessel is in a local quartz-tempered fabric and has a purple-brown glaze. Overlain by a cobbled surface. The full extent of this surface was not recorded and it may have been partially removed during machine- stripping of the site but it is recorded in section.
