Full Description
Two postholes each produced single sherds of 17th to 18th century pottery. These two postholes contained similar brown sandy fills to a group of postholes.
Four postholes formed an arc around the north side of a pit, c. 6m in length, perhaps for a windbreak but in the absence of any finds from their fills, or from the pit, it cannot be assumed that they were contemporary.
Another posthole, next to earlier gully, contained a single sherd from a Frechen drinking jug of mid/late 16th to mid 17th century date.
A single sherd from a black-glazed earthenware jar or chamber pot came from an additional posthole, south of a well.
A rectangular posthole on the west side of the site produced a single small black-glazed sherd of 17th to 18th century date
