Full Description

Two small Lincolnshire Early Medieval Shell-tempered sherds of mid 12th to early/mid 13th century date and a Coal Measures Whiteware jug or jar sherd came from an occupation layer.

An occupation layer produced three post-medieval sherds of pottery, the latest of which dates to between the late 18th and 19th centuries.

A dark brown occupation layer that contained late 18th-19th century artefacts that including metalwork and worked antler. The pottery comprised sherds representing forty-two vessels, mostly black and brown glazed earthenwares of early to mid/late 18th century date, although the group also includes slipwares and a Nottingham Stoneware mug. Two flat roof tiles, one of which has cracked during firing, and a handmade brick fragment of late medieval to post-medieval date were also found.
