Full Description
The magnetometer survey covered an area of about 0.37ha. The survey produced some significant archaeological anomalies. Two parallel linear anomalies set approximately 20m apart appear to reflect ditch-like features. These may reflect possible drains as they are very straight. To the south of the linear anomalies are two curvilinear anomalies probably represent ditches of unknown date.
To the north and abutting the northern hedge line that runs parallel with the Littleborough road are a series of individual anomalies of varying size possibly represent pits of unknown date.
Another two closely spaced linear anomalies which may denote the presence of ditches of unknown date but could be contemporary were detected. However, these do not appear to have been reflected in the resistance data.
