Full Description

Managers House and Offices of the Robert Teal 'Trent Gravels' company. Dating from sometime in the 1920s the group consists of

A 2 storey square plan house with a prominantly overhanging hipped plain tile roof. The elevations are textured with a rough grey render containing large graded gravel. An inset render panel to the East elevation contains the name 'Trent View' in larger gravel. Elevations have a mix of bow windows on both floors, some containing stain glass. Some windows have been replaced with UPVC. There are 3 large red brick chimney stacks. Cast metal rainwater goods painted teal match the soffits and bargeboards.

To the rear of the Trent View is large rectangular plan office building with a pitch roof. The upper level of this is in a similar style to the house with the same overhanging eave details, roughly cast gravel render and a mix of sash and casement windows. The ground floor is a smoother render or concrete with an overhanging veranda to the southern end. The veranda is topped with a low wall of the same material designed to look like balustrading providing a balcony terrace above. The Eastern elevation has a panel inset which appears to contain a date set in gravel of '192*'

In the grounds of the house there are numerous garden urns in the same material and style. (1)
