Full Description

A very small group of finds from topsoil contexts, comprising a single worked flint, a sherd of medieval pottery, a medieval fishing weight, and a post-medieval cloth seal.

The jug is 14th century Nottingham Reduced Green-Glazed Ware. All the sherds are abraded to some degree and are likely to be the product of secondary deposition, and quite possible residual.

The cloth seal is of post-medieval date, although it should be noted such seals remained in use into the early modern period.

A cast discoid weight with central neatly drilled aperture 10.5mm in diameter from the medieval period.

The weight and the jug sherd were recovered from the same trench topsoil.
