Full Description

The remains include various elements of four burials representing three adults (at
least one male) and one juvenile approximately 9-16 years old. The burials had been
previously disturbed at an unknown time by an unknown person and subsequently
the bones were reburied together in the location where they were found by the
current building works. The remains had already been lifted prior to the
archaeologist’s visit so no contextual information could be seen. The inclusion of
Victorian period remains could suggest a reburial date within the 19th century but
these finds were not available to the archaeologists so the dating remains unverified
The bones are most likely to be from burials originally within the churchyard but the
exact location is impossible to say. The actual age of the bones could not be
ascertained. (1)
