Full Description

On the eastern edge of the GSA, several low magnitude ditch type anomalies are recorded just off the river food plain on the river terrace edge. These anomalies form two separate possible enclosures aligned on a north/south axis parallel with the edge of the river terrace and the floodplain of the river Trent that lies immediately to the east.

The anomalies are low magnitude, fragmentary and resolution is poor due to the overhead electricity wires and by an area of magnetic disturbance immediately to the south. It is therefore possible that the potential archaeological remains may be more extensive than indicated by the survey.
