Full Description

8-Bay, two-storey, coarsed stone stable range associated with Carr Bank. Under a hipped slate roof. Off-centre stone segemental-arch (with double timber doors with pedestrian door) with tower over with semi-circular niche. C20 timber windows under stone lintels. Upper-storey windows directly under the eaves. SW gable has single-storey coarsed-stone lean-to extension with slate roof. The corner of the stable range incorporates the lefthand stone jamb of an infilled doorway into the lean-to bothy. A second infilled doorway under a stone lintel gave asccess through the adjoinng boundary wall into a bothy. The NE gable end has high-level window under the eaves. (1)
