One trench contained two ditches, both of which were identified by the geophysical survey.

A ring ditch was located towards the western end of the trench. It was a curvilinear feature, excavated over two interventions. The ditch had a U-shaped profile, with an average depth of 0.32m, and contained two fills at its eastern end, but only one at the western end, where it is noticeably shallower, possibly because of truncation by modern agriculture. The basal fill in one part of the ditch comprised mid greyish brown silty clay. No finds were recovered from the fill. The upper fill comprised dark-greyish brown silty clay. Finds of cattle and horse bone and pottery sherds were recovered from the secondary fill. The pottery suggests a broad pre-Roman Iron Age (PRIA) date (5th-1st century BC) for the ditch.

A second ditch was located to the east of the ring ditch and was orientated north to south. The ditch contained a singular fill comprising light yellowish brown silty clay. The ditch has been recut at a later date. The recut of the ditch contained a single fill, comprising mid-brownish grey silty clay, a single sherd of pottery with a PRIA to mid-2nd century date, and cattle and sheep/goat bone.

Based on the geophysical survey, this ditch likely comprises the southwest corner of an enclosure, with the undated curvilinear ditches (MNT28945) at the southwest end of another evaluation trench forming the northwest corner.
