Full Description

The field was subject to trial trenching and produced nothing of archaeological significance. Of the 64 trenches, 49 were blank. The positive trenches contained features such as shallow drainage ditches or undated pits.

Linear ditches, most of which appear to belong to old hedge lines. The photo also shows other indistinct cropmarks. (1)

Linear features/enclosures along road, appear to be "ribbon development" on NW side of village. Also more marks in the same field (including a ring ditch -L9705). (2)

The features exposed are likely to represent former drainage and boundary features of uncertain, but most likely recent date.
