Under cereal crop. The crop height is regular and undisturbed, indicating a fairly level ground surface. Perambulation produced only normal modern field debris. The linear ditches are possibly Ro (2)

The resistance and gradiometer surveys were sufficiently successful in detecting anomalies which correspond with the expected section of the double ditch feature in area A. (4)
Numerous modern ploughmarks could be seen cutting down into the subsoil. No archaeological features discovered in either of the trenches. Roman pottery was recovered along most of the length of Trench 1 with a concentration at the S end, this could suggest the area of a ploughed out ditch. (5)
