Full Description

Watermills, present by 1836. (1)
Watermill shown. (2)
Still in use. (4)
This watermill is shown on the Enclosure Award Map 1825 (together with a windmill). Extensive repairs were carried out in 1824 so it must have been in use for some time. It was sited in the SE corner of the parish off Watermill Lane. There are now no obvious remains. It was still in use in 1936. (5)
See L4626 for old watercourse, M18137 for mill pond, M18138 for windmill, and
L10021 for bank, all probably related.
