Roman pottery, a fragment of possibly Roman tile and building debris as well as Iron Age pottery was near a river bank adjacent to an old Wharf. Scott lists this site as a possible Roman villa. (4) (5)

A few sherds of pottery were found, comprising a rim sherd of Derbys ware, and rim and body sherds of grey ware (same items, or new finds ?). (2)
2 small body sherds of Trent Valley AB IA pottery, both with scored decoration, in hard black sandy ware with reddish surfaces, were found at the site previously recorded as producing Ro pottery. (3)
