Full Description

C16-C17 coin hoard discovered by walkers by footpath on site of Muskham Wood - now felled and used for arable. Some identified at Brewhouse Yard, of Charles I, James I and Elizabeth I. C 350 found in all ? - by walkers and landowners. Site visited, no sign of container. Surveyed by M Fennell. Inquest held and coins declared treasure trove (NB known as "Caunton hoard"). (1)
