Full Description

A series of earthworks occupy a pasture field in the angle of the Great North Road and Sandy Lane, immediately NE of Gamston Grange. Over most of the field, E-W aligned ridge and furrow runs from immediately E of the farm buildings to the Great North Road. A the N end of the field a series of slight irregular earthwork mounds and hollows, with no clearly discernable pattern, lie in the angle of the road junction. (1)
