Full Description

A large rough pasture field, between West End and Spring Farm, and fronting Freeman Lane (N) and Springs Lane (S), contains a variety of earthworks. At the N side, immediately S of Freeman Lane, a series of low irregular mounds and hollows occupy the NE corner of the field, while a low bank, perhaps a former headland, lies at the NE corner. Slight N-S aligned ridge and furrow occupies the area from the headland S to Springs Farm. W of Springs Farm and immediatley N of Springs Lane a series of pronounced N-S gullies and banks define what appear to be quite regular plots (perhaps former tofts) with irregular mounds and hollows both between the gullies and in the SE corner of the field, adjacent to the farm.
