Full Description

Vertical APs indicate a group of apparently well-preserved earthworks to the E of Fretwell Farm. A roughly N-S aligned hollow may indicate the line of a former toft boundary or back lane. The hollow runs parallel with Low Street, to the E. E-W aligned ridge and furrow lies to either side of the N-S hollow, and respects its line. Access to this area for inspection was not possible. Just wondering if you have anymore information on this as my ancestors were Wheelwrights in Newark and we are trying to trace more about then, Was hoping this might have been their premises. Regards Amanda Odling
