Full Description

Silver-gilt pendant cross, equal armed with knobbed terminals and a central disc bearing an engraved Lombardic letter A on one side and a design resembling a letter W on the other. Height: 33.3mm, weight: 5.62g. Likely to date fom the early C13. (1)
The inscriptions probably represent the letters alpha and omega, which traditionally refer to God and were intended to act as a protection or charm. (2)
