Full Description

Cropmarks 1/2 mile SW of Burton Joyce ? Modern land division shows up as squares, but there is a double ring ditch about 200yds S of railway level with end of clump of trees next to railway. However VK photos much clearer, indicate plenty of linear features (some modern drainage) and 2 other circles. VK1 is probably best photo of all. (1) (2) (3)
These marks fall in a level arable field next to the Trent. Part of the adjacent sewage works, this field is periodically covered with sludge. The land is arable at present and is under winter crop. (4) See L 8207 for part of site cut off by road.
