In gardens N of Brown's Lane, Ro pottery, including samian and some grey ware (gives incorrect grid ref). (1)
Sherds of miscellaneous Ro coarseware and samian ware were found in the garden near the E end of Brown's Lane some years ago. The finder has since emigrated (inf from (3). In NCM. (2)
Browns Lane has been renumbered. We now know that the pot sherds were found in December 1955 about 2ft below the surface of a lawn in the back garden of No 155 Browns Lane. (4)
