Title Fluxgate Gradiometer Survey: Rufford Park, Nottinghamshire
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2006

Abstract/Summary

Fluxgate gradiometer survey took place on site of a proposed playing area. The magnetic variation recorded reflects modern activity. A number of potential Pits/areas of burning were detected, although a natural origin for these anomalies (as deposits of ferrous minerals) is also a possibility. Report states that overall the results suggest that the site has low archaeological potential. Contains images of results.
