Abstract/Summary

On 29th November 2005, a ground penetrating radar survey was undertaken at Rufford Abbey in the parish of Rufford, Nottinghamshire. The survey was commissioned by NCC as part of a programme of geophysical investigation seeking to understand the extent and layout of the abbey complex. Radar successfully imaged the subsurface of a courtyard at Rufford Abbey to a depth of more than 1.5m. Little evidence of archaeology was found in the data, although underground services were identified at various depths.
