Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during ground-works at Albert Road, Beeston, at the site of the former Sherwood Construction yard.
The site was located within an area where early prehistoric flint tools have been discovered.
The work included the demolition of a standing building, the removal of two petrol tanks and the excavation of formation levels for the new building.
No archaeological deposits were revealed during the watching brief.
