Abstract/Summary

An archaeological desk-based assessment was prepared for c. 18 hectares of land to the east of Kirk Ley Road, East Leake, Nottinghamshire. The assessment has been prepared to inform a future planning application. The study area comprises the ‘site’ and a 1km search radius. It is concluded that the site has a negligible to low potential for archaeological remains of all periods. With the exception of the buried modern quarry mapped on the HER, the site walkover survey revealed nothing of potential archaeological significance.
