Abstract/Summary

On the 10/07/2018 D.Littlewood and E.Firth visited Ruddington to establish the location of the courtyard opposite the Red Lion Inn containing medieval masonry reported in the EMAB 1962, p.23 at Ruddington. The current Red Lion Inn has been so-named for 100 years and prior to that the site at 9 Vicarage Lane was called the Red lion Inn. DL and EF then visited 9 Vicarage Lane but were unable to gain access, but noted that the walls were now rendered so were unable to view any datable brickwork.
