Abstract/Summary
Magnitude Surveys was commissioned to assess the subsurface archaeological potential of a c. 0.7ha area of Land off Maltkiln Close, Ollerton, Nottinghamshire. A fluxgate gradiometer survey was successfully completed across most of the site, with c. 0.2ha rendered unsurveyable by vegetation. The geophysical results are characterised by ferrous debris. No anomalies indicative of archaeological activity have been identified. The impact of modern activity on the results is considerable, detected primarily as subsurface disturbance from the ferrous debris as well as some magnetic haloes around extant ferrous objects and fences at the field edges
