Abstract/Summary
Results of the magnetometer and resistivity survey which was undertaken in October 1995 on the (possibly Roman) square triple-ditched enclosure. The aim of the study was to map accurately the locations of the enclosure ditches and identify any features. The geophysical survey succeeded in mapping the locations of the ditches visible as cropmarks and produced evidence fo internal structures (sub rectangular arrangment of probably ditches, though these are not aligned with those of the enclosure) and of a possible extension to the south. The survey failed to locate an entrance, thoug there seems to be gaps in the two outer ditches along the northern side. The resistivity survey was particuarly successful in showing that the enclosure is roughly square in form and with both the inner and outermost ditches being equally more substantial than the intermediate one.
