Source/Archive record (Unpublished document) SNT5180 - Resistivity Survey: Abbey Lawn, Rufford Abbey, Nottinghamshire

Title Resistivity Survey: Abbey Lawn, Rufford Abbey, Nottinghamshire
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2006

Abstract/Summary

Survey did not conclusively define the ground plans of abbey structures, although excavations undertaken in the 1950s showed that much of the abbey walls had been robbed in antiquity. Despite this, some elements of the remains and later features have potentially been detected. The survey recorded traces of a formal garden in the northern half of the abbey lawn.
