Title A46 Newark to Widmerpool Improvements Archaeological Works at Farndon Fields (A46 FAR05): Fieldwork Report
Author/Originator
Date/Year

Abstract/Summary

Test trenches and boreholes were excavated in order to find a potential Upper Palaeolithic buried A horizon and in-situ site, which has been posited based on the number of Upper Palaeolithic funds in the immediate environs. No evidence for a site was recovered, and it is suggested that due to extensive ploughing activity and bioturbation, there is no possibility for the site to be in situ.
