Abstract/Summary
The results of a geophysical survey on the site of a proposed solar farm at Blackberry Farm, Cotsgrave, Nottinghamshire. The survey was undertaken using a gradiometer and covered an area comprising three fields measuring c.12.1ha. The survey results revealed possible medieval ridge and furrow remains surviving at sub-surface levels in one field and tentatively in a second field. A section of a previously removed field boundary located between two fields was also identified. A series of linear features was identified at the northern end of a field, but it is likely that these relate to relatively recent agricultural drainage and field divisions. Other features identifiedd within three fields appear to be modern.
