Abstract/Summary

An archaeological strip, plan and sample excavation was carried out by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) at Wilford Lane, West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire.The site previously contained a public house ‘The Chateau’ and prior to that was the site of a house called Wilford Cottage. Seven 20m x 1.6m and one 25m x 1.6m wide trenches were placed across the site in different areas to cover different terrain. No archaeological remains were identified and no artefacts were recovered from the trenches
