Date/Year 2023

Abstract/Summary

Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken during groundworks, as a condition of planning consent for erection of a new cricket pavilion at Farndon Cricket Club, Newark Road, Farndon, Nottinghamshire. The site lies in an area of high archaeological potential, with particular regards to the nationally important Late Upper Palaeolithic activity revealed in the immediate vicinity of the site. Archaeological monitoring was undertaken for the new pavilion, car park, access road and a soakway. No archaeologically significant features or deposits were encountered.
