A scheme of archaeological strip, map and sample excavation was undertaken of the footprint of a new portal frame unit adjacent to an existing building at Portland Grange Farm, Sibthorpe. The site is surrounded by cropmarks, some of which have been confirmed as Roman enclosures, with Roman dated pottery recovered during the groundworks for the existing portal frame building at the northeast end of the site. No archaeological features were identified, and no finds were recovered.
