Archaeological trial trench evaluation associated with a proposed solar park and grid connection route was undertaken in 2023. The Gate Burton Energy Park comprises a 710-hectare parcel of land located east of Gate Burton, Lincolnshire. A total of five evaluation trenches were excavated, investigated and recorded within the field. One of the five trenches contained archaeological remains, comprising a single pit of unknown date or function. No artefacts or ecofacts were recovered.
