Abstract/Summary

A programme of archaeological monitoring was undertaken on land off Hackers Close, Kneeton Road, East Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. The area measures approximately c.2034m² and is currently occupied by rough green space and scrub. The scheme of archaeological works comprised the monitoring of footings for No. four housing plots and a series of soakaways across the area of development. No deposits of archaeological significance were encountered throughout the evaluation, as the area consisted largely of layers of made ground. Therefore, the archaeological works have shown that development will have negligible impact upon archaeological remains
