Abstract/Summary
Archaeological monitoring and recording of all intrusive ground works was undertaken; a total of fifty machine cut areas were excavated which incorporated cable trenches, access roads and site compounds at their solar farm, near Holbeck, Nottinghamshire.
Only a small number of number of potential features were observed and a small quantity of finds. Three features were of the same form being shallow and NE-SW aligned were noted which may represent truncated furrows. One small ditch/gully was observed orientated E-W though no datable evidence was obtained.
A distinct lack of features and finds on this site would confirm that human occupation in this area was limited and that it seems more likely for much of time this area was used primarily for agricultural purposes and animal husbandry.
