Abstract/Summary
A geophysical (magnetometer) survey was undertaken on approximately 90 hectares of land located to the southwest of Burton Joyce, Nottinghamshire. A single anomaly of definite archaeological origin was detected within the northwest of one of the fields, with severaluncertain/possible archaeological responses elsewhere. Agricultural anomalies were also detected across the entirety of the Site including modern ploughing regimes, field drains, and former field boundaries. Geological responses were detected which correspond to the variable topography within the east of the survey area.
